Upon arrival at Amman Airport our representative welcomes after you passed through the customs. Then transfer for 50 minutes to your hotel in Amman for overnight.

Amman - Petra visit - Petra

Petra

Morning time, drive 2.5 hrs via the Desert Highway to Petra, the must see for every Jordan visitor. A local guide will give you a short introduction of this unique place and walks with you via the Siq, a narrow gorge, to the most beautiful monument, the Treasury. From here you explore the area by yourself, taking you to the Street of Facades, the Royal Tombs or climbing up the more than 800 stairs to the Monastery El Deir with amazing views to Wadi Araba. Overnight at hotel.

Desert Safari: Little Petra - Wadi Feynan - Wadi Araba

Little Petra

In the morning we board the 4x4 Jeeps and start the journey to Wadi Araba. The first area we pass is the bizarre landscape of Little Petra.

Wadi Feynan

Proceed to Wadi Feynan, once important for copper mining and production. Lunch box en route.

Wadi Araba

Then continue to Wadi Araba, where Bedouin tribes still living in a traditional way. We stay at a private camp in the night. Dinner at camp.

Desert Safari: Wadi Araba - Humaima - Diseh

Humaima

Today we continue off-road to Humaima in the beautiful Hisma desert. This was a small Nabatean settlement, where the Romans built later a fort, in the 7th century it was home to the Islamic Abbasid Dynasty. Since several year's excavations are going on here. We continue to dish for dinner & overnight at camp.

Desert Safari: Kharazah - Wadi Rum

Wadi Rum

After breakfast we set off to Wadi Rum, one of the most impressing desert landscapes in the world. This vast, silent landscape is featured by ancient riverbeds, coloured sand dunes and rugged mountains. We pass the Kharazah rock bridge and the Seven Pillars of Wisdom, a rock formation named after the book by Lawrence of Arabia. Dinner & overnight at camp.

Wadi Rum - Aqaba

Aqaba

We leave the desert behind and drive to the Red Sea resort Aqaba where our service ends at the hotel, we booked for you. This gives you the opportunity to choose some days at the Red Sea, discover more of Jordan or continue by ferry to Egypt.

Practical Info


• For entry visa regularities see our blog Visa and Passport Requirements.
• Official check in time at hotels 15:00 – check out time at hotels 12:00.
• Breakfast at hotels is served in the main restaurant.
• The driver/tour guide escorts you according to the booked itinerary, he is not 24/7 at your disposal.
• The spot guide in Petra are licensed by the Ministry of Tourism in Jordan and are not part of our team.
• In case of rain the government may decide to close Petra for safety and security reasons.
• The Petra ticket includes a 700 meters horse ride from the main gate to the beginning of the Siq. The ride is not mandatory; the horse handler expects a tip of 5 JOD per horse.
• 4x4s in Wadi Rum are old vehicles without A/C and seat belt. They belong to the local Bedouin association.
• Wear comfortable walking shoes and depending on season pack sun protection.
• For camping we recommend to bring the following: sleeping bag, backpack, towel, flashlight, comfortable clothes and shoes, sunglasses, sunscreen, headgear / scarf as protection against sun and wind, hygiene products, toilet paper, first aid kit (for headaches, cold, etc.).
• Bivouac Camping: Tents will be set up for customers. Each tent can accommodate 2 people and is equipped with mattresses and blankets. There is no bathroom, water for washing is provided.
• 3-4 star hotels in Aqaba has no private beach. A free shuttle bus takes customers to the Berenice Beach at the south coast. Please check with the hotel reception the time table.
• It is not permitted to bring telescopes or drones without permission to Jordan.
• Best travel time: March till beginning of June, September till December.
• Changes in the itinerary is possible depending on the weather conditions.
• For hiking, bring hiking shoes, backpack to carry your lunch box and water during the hike, camera etc.,

- After booking the tour with us online, one of our consultants will get in touch within 24 hours. You need to pay then a 25% deposit by credit card or by bank transfer. The full payment is due latest 14 days before tour start.
- Cancellations or changes need to be sent in written form. Charges are as follows:
• 25 $USD of the total price of the trip for cancellations from the date of booking until 31 days before departure.
• 25% of the total price of the trip for cancellations or changes made 30 to 08 days before departure.
• 100% of the total price of the trip for cancellations or changes made 07 to 01 days before departure or no show.
- For refunds we do not cover transaction fees charged by credit card companies and banks.
