Shalom and welcome to Israel! You will be met at Ben Gurion Airport and transferred by your English speaking driver to your hotel.

Tel Aviv City – Jaffa – Tel Aviv Hotel

Tel Aviv City

Pickup from your hotel lobby. Drive 1 hour to Tel Aviv, Israel’s largest city at the Mediterranean coastline. Start the tour on foot in the neighbourhood of Neve Tzedek to see the eclectic Bauhaus style. The influence of the Bauhaus gave Tel Aviv the nickname White City and the reason for Tel Aviv to be an UNESCO World Heritage Site. From there continue to the Rothschild Boulevard, Rabin Square and the Independence Hall, where David Ben Gurion declared the state of Israel in May 1948.

Jaffa

Drive around 20 minutes to Jaffa, one of the ancient gateways at the Mediterranean to the Holy Land. Through its port the Cedar trees of Solomon’s Temple where brought. Your walking tour starts at the Clock Tower, takes you to St Peter’s Church along small alleys with artist galleries and craft shops.

Day 3
Via Dolorosa – Temple Mount – Mt Zion – Jerusalem Hotel

Via Dolorosa

We drive 1 hour to Jerusalem. We enter the Old City through the Lion’s Gate, known also as St. Stephen’s Gate; stopping at St. Anne's Church and the Pool of Bethesda. Then we follow the 14 stations of the Way of the Cross, the Via Dolorosa, ending at the Church of the Holy Sepulchre. The church is built over the place where Jesus was crucified, buried, and resurrected.

Temple Mount

Then we visit the holy sites of the three monotheistic religions, represented in Jerusalem: We start with the walking to the Wailing Wall, which represents the last remnants of the Jewish Temple, destroyed by the Romans. Usually you can see the various types of Jews who come to worship at this holy place. If open to visitors, we ascend to the Temple Mount, where we can look at the famous Dome of the Rock.

Mt Zion

In Mt Zion, see here the Last Supper Room, the Dormition Abbey and the Church of St. Peter in Gallicantu, the traditional site where St. Peter denied Jesus three times.

Mt Olives – Free Afternoon – Jerusalem Hotel

Mt Olives

Start your tour with a panoramic view from the top of Mount Olives, a good place for an introduction to the city and its history. Then we walk along the Palm Sunday road to the Dominus Flevit Chapel, the Garden Gethsemane and the Church of All Nations. Free afternoon for you to explore on your own. Overnight in Jerusalem.

Ein Karem - Yad Vashem – Israel Museum – Jerusalem Hotel

Ein Karem

Pickup from hotel lobby and drive to the picturesque village of Ein Karem, the place where John the Baptist was born. After your visit of St. John the Baptist Church and the Church of Visitation free time to wander around in serene and garden-rich Ein Karem.

Yad Vashem

In just 30 minutes you are back to the hustle and bustle of Jerusalem. Visit Yad Vashem, the Holocaust Remembrance Centre.

Israel Museum

Proceed to the Israel Museum, an important art and archaeology museum. See the famous Dead Sea Scrolls in the Shrine of the Book and the model of Jerusalem in the Second Temple period. Continue to your hotel.

Day 6
Masada – Qumran – Dead Sea – Jerusalem Hotel

Masada

This morning journey towards the south, and drive along the Dead Sea to the clifftop fortress of Masada. It had been built by Herod the Great and the place is an important symbol of bravery to the Jewish people. The siege of the Romans ended with a suicide of all Jewish fighters in the first century. Ascend the top by a 3 minutes cable car ride, spend time visiting the remains of the Northern Palace, a Roman bath, huge water cisterns, and the siege wall.

Qumran

Next to Qumran Caves, where the Dead Sea Scrolls where found in 1947 by an Arab boy. The scrolls contained fragments of biblical and sectarian texts, some of them more than 2,000 years old.

Dead Sea

Continue to the Dead Sea, the lowest point on earth. The water of the lake is so salty, it allows you to float.

Jerusalem

Drive back to your hotel in Jerusalem.

Day 7
Cana – Nazareth – Sea of Galilee – Tiberias Hotel

Cana

Kick off the day with a visit to Cana, where Jesus performed his first miracle. He turned water into wine during a wedding. To this day, couples renew their marriage vows in the church.

Nazareth

Then onto Nazareth, the place where Jesus spent his childhood. Main attraction is the Church of the Annunciation, believed to be where the angel Gabriel announced to Mary her pregnancy.

Sea of Galilee

End the day with a scenic boat ride on the Sea of Galilee.

Mt Beatitudes– Tabgha – Capernaum – Tiberias Hotel

Mt Beatitudes

After breakfast, check-out and drive to the Mt. of Beatitudes, the traditional site where Jesus hold the Sermon on the Mount. Visit the beautiful church and its surrounding gardens.

Capernaum

Continue to nearby Tabgha, the site where Jesus performed the Miracle of the multiplication of loaves and fishes. Nearby is the Church of Primacy, built in 1934 in basalt over a massive rock called "Mensa Christi". Here Jesus commissioned St. Peter to be the leader of his church.

Next visit will be to Capernaum, the home of St. Peter. See the nearby archaeological excavations of the synagogue and community.

Safed – Golan Heights Jeep Tour – Tiberias Hotel

Safed

Travel to Safed (Tzaf), the centre of Kabbalah and Jewish mysticism. Safed is one of the four holy cities in Judaism. We tour the Ashkenazi Ari Synagogue, the Caro Synagogue and see the cemetery where many great scholars and rabbis are buried. Time to explore the alleys and winding stairways of the Artists’ Quarter.

Golan Heights

Head to Golan Heights and hop on to a jeep to discover breathtaking views over the hills. Afterwards, Next stop is Banias, a national park with lush forests and streams. Here you have time for a walk to a waterfall, with 10 meters the largest in Israel. Continue to Nimrod’s Fortress from the 13th century with brilliant views of the Golan and towards the road to Damascus.

Haifa – Akko – Caesarea – Tel Aviv Hotel

Haifa

Check-out to proceed Haifa City, and up to Mt. Carmel one of the holy mountains, we can see the coastal of Haifa city all the way down to the Mediterranean. Visit Stella Maris on top and the Baha’i Gardens in the edge of the city center.

Akko

Then to the ancient port city of Akko (Acre), with its Middle Age fortress, the former capital of the Crusader kingdom is also the birthplace of the Baha’i religion. A Hospitaller Castle, Templar tunnel and the largest prison during the British Mandate can all be found here.

Caesarea

Continue to Caesarea, where we will see the ancient ruins of a Roman theater facing the Mediterranean, remains of one of Herod's palaces and many marble and granite columns. Also we visit the Hippodrome and the water aqueducts.

Drive to Tel Aviv hotel, check-in and overnight.

Spend your leisure day at one of the sandy beaches or walk along the promenade to Jaffa. Browse the street markets, visit the interesting Joseph Bau House or the Palmach Museum; whatever you decide for, time will fly.
