Visit the bustling capital, Amman, en route see Byzantine mosaics in Madaba and view the Promised Land in Mount Nebo.

Wadi Rum

Travel to the protected area of Wadi Rum, one of the most impressing desert landscapes in the world. We begin the tour with a visit to the famous Lawrence's Spring, where Lawrence of Arabia reputedly washed during the Arab Revolt. There you can easily climb a nearby rock formation and take in the scenery with the best views of the vast landscape. We will then drive to the red sand dunes in Wadi Um Ishrin and to Jebel Anafishiya where you can see ancient Nabatean inscriptions in the rock. We then drive to Um Fruth Bridge (which is about 20 meters high and a favourite for climbers). Continue to a magnificent location atop a red sand dune, from where you can watch the legendary Wadi Rum sunset. Once the evening sets in, we will head on to the campsite to have a delicious Bedouin dinner. Overnight at camp.

Wadi Rum - Petra Visit - Petra

Petra

Morning, drive to the red rose city Petra, the biggest attraction of Jordan. First established around the 6th century B.C. by the Nabataean Arabs a nomadic tribe who settled in the area and laid the foundation of a commercial empire that extended into Syria. With the guide, pass the canyon, the so-called Siq, to see the most beautiful monument: the Treasury. Continue via the Street of Facades to the Royal Tombs and Pharaoh's Castle. The guide says farewell to you at the restaurant area and explore other sites on your own. In the afternoon, return back same route to the entrance gate of Petra. Proceed to your hotel and overnight.

Journey to the lowest point on earth, Dead Sea. With 400 meters below sea level, the Dead Sea is the lowest point on earth, where ever since the days of Herod the Great, people have flocked to in search of its curative secrets. The area is characterized by high annual temperatures, low humidity and high atmospheric pressure, the air is extremely oxygen rich. With the highest content of minerals and salts in the world, the Dead Sea water possesses anti-inflammatory properties, and dark mud found on its shores have been used for over 2000 years for therapeutic purposes. Dead Sea - Madaba - Mt Nebo - Amman City Tour - Amman

Today, drive to Mt. Nebo, the place where Prophet Moses gazed at the promised land before he died and alleged to be his burial place. You visit an old monastery; overlook the Jordan Valley, Dead Sea and parts of the Holy Land.

Amman City

Next to the capital city of Jordan, Amman, we discover the historical places in the downtown. The Citadel hill with remains from the Roman to the early Islamic period like the Umayyad Palace, enjoying views over hilly Amman and the Roman Theatre. We stroll via the Souq, where you get an idea of everyday life, and Jabal Amman with its distinctive early 20th century architecture. Overnight in Amman.

Practical Info

• Official check in time at hotels 15:00 – check out time at hotels 12:00.
• Breakfast at hotels is served in the main restaurant.
• The driver/tour guide escorts you according to the booked itinerary, he is not 24/7 at your disposal.
• You walk several km in Petra, so bear in mind good walking shoes and a backpack for beverage, camera etc.
• The spot guides in Petra are licensed by the Ministry of Tourism in Jordan and are not part of our team.
• In case of rain the government may decide to close Petra for safety and security reasons.
• For the Dead Sea beach don’t forget swimwear, flip flops and water sandals.
• The Petra ticket includes a 700 meters horse ride from the main gate to the beginning of the Siq. The ride is not mandatory; the horse handler expects a tip of 5 JOD per horse.
• 4x4s in Wadi Rum are old vehicles without A/C and seat belt. They belong to the local Bedouin association.
• For camping we recommend to bring the following: sleeping bag, backpack, towel, flashlight, comfortable clothes and shoes, sunglasses, sunscreen, headgear / scarf as protection against sun and wind, hygiene products, toilet paper, first aid kit (for headaches, cold, etc.).
• Wear comfortable walking shoes and depending on season pack sun protection.
• Araba Border opening hours: Sun- Thu 08:30-15:00, Fri & Sat is closed. May change without prior notice.
• To respect the local culture please cover shoulders and knees.
• It is not permitted to bring telescopes or drones without permission to Jordan.

- Cancellations or changes need to be sent in written form. Charges are as follows:
• 25 $USD of the total price of the trip for cancellations from the date of booking until 31 days before departure.
• 25% of the total price of the trip for cancellations or changes made 30 to 08 days before departure.
• 100% of the total price of the trip for cancellations or changes made 07 to 01 days before departure or no show.
