Guaranteed departure means the tour will operate on the scheduled day and will not be cancelled. You will share this 8-day tour with other clients. The minimum number of travellers is just 2 persons and the maximum number 12 persons for a more personalized experience. The trip starts and ends at the hotel in Amman and includes 3* hotel accommodation with breakfast, a camp stay on half board basis and tours with English speaking guides. Entrance fees are not included and we recommend purchasing the Jordan Pass (www.jordanpass.jo) waiving the entry visa fee Jordan as well. You’ll discover history, nature and culture and visit the most popular attractions like Jerash, the Dead Sea, the King’s Way, Petra, Wadi Rum and Aqaba.

Explore Amman Downtown. Visit the Citadel hill and the opposite Roman Theatre. Stroll along the vibrant Souq with its different shops and stalls and stop in Rainbow Street.

Dead Sea

Drive 1 hour to the Dead Sea, the lowest point on earth. We bring you to one of the beaches equipped with locker rooms and showers. Float on the buoyant and salty water, cover your body with the dark mud on the shores.

Monday: Amman Hotel - Umm Qais - Jerash - Amman Hotel

Umm Qais

Drive two hours from Amman to Gadara, known as Umm Qais. The town belonged to the famous Decapolis, a union of 10 cities, founded by Alexander the Great. In Umm Quais you see ruins of theatres and colonnaded streets and have an overwhelming view over the north Jordan Valley, the Golan Heights and the Sea of Galilee.

Jerash

Continue to Jerash, the best example of a Roman provincial city in the whole Middle East. The well preserved ruins had been hidden for centuries in sand, before the excavations started in 1925. Wander along the spectacular Forum, paved and colonnaded streets, the Nymphaeum, theatres and the Temple of Artemis.

Tuesday: Amman Hotel - Mt Nebo - Madaba - King’s Way - Kerak Castle - Petra Hotel

Mount Nebo

Drive from Amman to Mt Nebo. From here overlook the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea and parts of the Holy Land. According to the Bible this is the place where Moses was granted to see the Promised Land before he died and alleged to be his burial place.

Madaba

Short ride to Madaba, the town known in Jordan as the “City of Mosaic”. See the famous 6th century mosaic map of Jerusalem and the Holy Land at St. George’s Church. Travel along the famous ancient caravan route of the King’s Way.

Wadi Mujib

Short photo stop in Wadi Al Mujib, a great wide valley with magnificent geological formation, identical with the Arnon River of the Hebrew Bible.

Kerak Castle

Then to the remains of the Crusader Castle Kerak. Explore the underground passageways, enjoy the view and imagine how the forces of Salah ad-Din besieged this stronghold several times.

Proceed to your hotel in Petra for check-in.

Wednesday: Petra Visit - Wadi Rum Camp

Petra Visit

Today visit the highlight of Jordan, the red rose city Petra! Petra was founded around the 6th century B.C. by the Nabataean Arabs. Pass the narrow canyon, the so-called Siq, see the Treasury, the Street of Facades, the Royal Tombs and Pharaoh's Castle.

Wadi Rum

In the afternoon drive 1.5 hours to Wadi Rum. Check into your campsite, where a dinner and the desert night with a hopefully starry sky awaits you.

Thursday: Wadi Rum Jeep Ride - Aqaba Hotel

Hop in a 4x4 and with your Bedouin driver uncover more of the vast area. You see canyons, red sand dunes, Nabatean rock inscriptions and a natural rock bridge formed over centuries.

• Check-in time at hotels is 14:00, check-out time at hotels 12:00 noon.
• 4x4s in Wadi Rum are old vehicles without A/C and seat belt. They belong to the local Bedouin association.
• Wear comfortable walking shoes and depending on season pack sun protection.
• To respect the local culture please cover shoulders and knees.
• For Dead Sea don't forget swimwear, flip flops or water sandals.
• 3* hotels in Aqaba have no beach.

After booking the tour with us online, one of our consultants will get in touch within 24 hours. You need to pay then a 25% deposit by credit card or by bank transfer. The full payment is due latest 14 days before tour start.
- Cancellations or changes need to be sent in written form. Charges are as follows:
• 50 $USD of the total price of the trip for cancellations from the date of booking until 31 days before departure.
• 25% of the total price of the trip for cancellations or changes made 30 to 08 days before departure.
• 100% of the total price of the trip for cancellations or changes made 07 to 01 days before departure or no show.
