Jaffa – Tel Aviv City – Tel Aviv Hotel

Jaffa

Drive around 20 minutes to Jaffa, one of the ancient gateways at the Mediterranean to the Holy Land. Through its port the Cedar trees of Solomon’s Temple where brought. Your walking tour starts at the Clock Tower, takes you to Mahmoudiya Mosque, St Peter’s Church along small alleys with artist galleries and craft shops.

Tel Aviv City

We drive to Neve Tzedek in Tel Aviv and continue our exploration on foot to see the eclectic Bauhaus style. The influence of the Bauhaus gave Tel Aviv the nickname White City and the reason for Tel Aviv to be an UNESCO World Heritage Site. You see the Rothschild Boulevard, Rabin Square, the Independence Hall and end the day at the vibrant Carmel Market (Saturdays closed). Overnight Tel Aviv Hotel.

Caesarea – Akko – Haifa – Tiberias Hotel

Caesarea

Your tour begins with pick-up from your Tel Aviv hotel. The first stop is the Mediterranean harbor city of Caesarea, where you’ll visit Caesarea National Park to see ancient Roman ruins of Herod’s Harbor and the Caesarea Roman Theater, one of the biggest amphitheatres built during the Roman era.

Next, travel to the ancient port city of Acre, a UNESCO World Heritage Site featuring impressive fortified city walls and the underground Crusader passageways used by the Knights of St. John. If time permits, stroll on to the Old Market.

Day 4
Safed – Golan Heights – Wine Tasting – Tiberias

Safed

Today we travel to Safed (Tzaf), the centre of Kabbalah and Jewish mysticism. Safed is one of the four holy cities in Judaism. We tour the Ashkenazi Ari Synagogue, the Caro Synagogue and see the cemetery where many great scholars and rabbis are buried. Time to explore the alleys and winding stairways of the Artists’ Quarter.

Golan Heights

Head to the Golan Heights and visit the Banias, a national park with lush forests and streams. Here you have time for a walk to a waterfall, with 10 meters the largest in Israel. Then to Nimrod’s Fortress from the 13th century with brilliant views of the Golan and towards the road to Damascus. Continue to a winery in the area and enjoy wine tasting of exceptional Israeli wines.

Day 5
Tabgha – Sea of Galilee – Nazareth – Mt Olives – Jerusalem Hotel

Tabgha

Pickup hotel lobby and drive to Tabgha, directly at the shores of the lake. See the Church of the Multiplication, the spot where the bread and fish were multiplied. Another attraction is the Primacy Church, where Jesus appeared for the fourth time after his resurrection.

Short ride to the Sea of Galilee for a scenic view.

Nazareth

Head to Nazareth, the town where Jesus spent his childhood. Visit the Basilica of the Annunciation, the Church of St. Joseph and if you wish stroll in the Old City market.

Mt Olives

In the afternoon drive to Jerusalem. Into the Mount of Olives have spectacular view of the city and the most important Jewish cemetery. Walk down Palm Sunday Road to the Garden of Gethsemane. We see along the way the Chapel of Ascension, the Pater Noster Church, the Dominus Flevit Church and the Maria Magdalena Church, marking all important events in the life of Jesus.

Proceed to your hotel in Jerusalem and overnight.

Masada – Dead Sea – David Tower – Jerusalem Hotel

Masada

Pickup from your hotel lobby and head for the desert fortress Masada. Learn about the heroic story of the Jewish fighters who preferred to commit suicide instead of living under Roman rule. Ascend by cable car and tour the mountain fortress built by King Herod, where the zealots of the first century made their last stand against the Romans. Visit the remains of the walls, the palace, synagogue, water cisterns.

Continue to the Dead Sea, the lowest point on earth. The water of the lake is so salty, it allows you to float.

Drive back to Jerusalem and in the evening, you have the chance to attend the “Light Show” at the Tower of David Museum inside the Old City. Return to your hotel and overnight.

Temple Mount – Via Dolorosa – Mehane Yehuda – Jerusalem Hotel

Temple Mount

If the situation allows, visit to the Temple Mount, known as Haram El Sharif. You see the Al Aksa Mosque and the Dome of the Rock, two of the most important Islamic sanctuaries (non-Muslims are not allowed to enter the buildings). From the Temple Mount Prophet Mohammad ascended to heaven. The Temple Mount is the place, where the Jewish Temples stood 2,000 years ago. The Western Wall or Wailing Wall is the last remnant and the holiest site in Judaism. You will see today how it draws Jews from all over the world to pray here.

We follow the footsteps of Jesus along the stations of the Via Dolorosa, the Way of Suffering, until the Church of the Holy Sepulchre. The church marks the spot where Jesus was crucified, buried and resurrected.

Ending the day at Mahane Yehuda market to watch the locals shop and smell the culinary delights of the little cafés. Overnight Jerusalem hotel.

Bethlehem – Yad Vashem – Israel Museum –Jerusalem Hotel

Bethlehem

Short ride to the Palestinian town of Bethlehem, one of the most popular destinations for Christians, especially in the Christmas season. Arriving at Manger Square you visit the Church of Nativity, a 4th century basilica standing over a cave where Jesus was born. At the outskirts of the town you find the "Shepherds Fields" in Beit Sahour and we have a look over the Greek Orthodox Mar Saba Monastery.

Back in Jerusalem visit Yad Vashem, the Holocaust Remembrance Centre.
