This self drive tour is right for independent travellers to explore the Kingdom of Jordan. You are free in your time management and can organise this round trip at your leisure. Your rental car and hotels and camp are booked for you in advance. The package includes a suggested itinerary covering the best sites of Jordan. Cultural highlights such as the rock city Petra or the ancient city of Jerash will inspire you just as much as the country's natural landscapes.

Drive about 50 km to the Roman ruins of Jerash. See the Hippodrome, the spectacular Forum, Roman colonnaded street, the Nymphaeum, the Temple of Artemis and the North Theatre.

Free afternoon at Dead Sea to float in the mineral-rich water, a unique experience. The water is said to be very good for your skin, after all it is the oldest spa!

Check out from hotel and start driving to Mt Nebo. This is the place where Moses was granted to see the Promised Land before he died and alleged to be his burial place.

Short ride to Madaba, the town known in Jordan as the “City of Mosaic”. See the famous 6th century mosaic map of Jerusalem and the Holy Land at St. George’s Church.

King's Way
Travel along the famous ancient caravan route of the King’s Way. Short photo stop in Wadi Al Mujib, a great wide valley with magnificent geological formation.

Full day to explore Petra, Jordan’s top attraction. Enter the capital of the Nabateans through the narrow canyon, the so-called Siq. At the end you will be rewarded with a view of the most beautiful monument, the Treasury. Continue to the Street of Facades, the Royal Tombs, Pharaoh's Castle and if you like to the Monastery El Deir. Overnight in Petra.

Head back from the desert to the capital in Amman. Stop in downtown to visit the Citadel hill with remains from the Roman to the early Islamic period and a small Archaeological Museum. Overnight in Amman.
Your rental vehicle will be collected this evening at 18:00.

• Only the driver will be able to use the rental car and must present a valid driver's licence in his/her name. You may be able to add an additional driver. Fees may apply and are paid directly on spot. • Additional charges map apply if you pick up or drop off the car at a different date, time, or location than stated. • The minimum age of the driver is 21 years.
How to Book this Tour
- After booking the tour with us online, one of our consultants will get in touch within 24 hours. You need to pay then a 25% deposit by credit card or by bank transfer. The full payment is due latest 14 days before tour start.
- Cancellations or changes need to be sent in written form. Charges are as follows:
• 50 $USD of the total price of the trip for cancellations from the date of booking until 31 days before departure.
• 25% of the total price of the trip for cancellations or changes made 30 to 08 days before departure.
• 100% of the total price of the trip for cancellations or changes made 07 to 01 days before departure or no show.
- For refunds we do not cover transaction fees charged by credit card companies and banks.
