Our representative welcomes you with a signage before the immigration and will assist you with your entry visa. Drive an hour to your hotel at the Dead Sea to check-in. The Dead Sea is flanked by mountains to the east and the rolling hills of Jerusalem to the west, giving it an almost other-worldly beauty. Remaining time of the day free leisure to swim and float on salty waters and try the dark mud along the shores for healthy skin.
Short ride of 30 minutes to the Baptism Site well known as the Bethany beyond the Jordan at the Jordan Valley. This is the location where Jesus Christ was baptized by John the Baptist took place. You can also look at Elijah's Hill where Prophet Elijah ascended to heaven. Onto Mt Nebo, approximately 710 meters above sea level, overlooking the Jordan Valley, Dead Sea and parts of the Holy Land. Mentioned in the Bible as the place where Moses was granted to see the Promised Land before he died and alleged to be his burial place. Continue15 minutes driving to the “City of Mosaic” Madaba, where we see the famous 6th century mosaic map of Jerusalem and the Holy Land at St. George’s church as well as other mosaics in Archaeological Museum. Continue 3 hours via the Desert Highway to Petra. Proceed to your hotel, check-in and overnight.
Rise and shine to an early start to the red rose city Petra. Upon arrival at Petra Visitor Center, you will meet your English speaking local guide and proceed to your tour. Petra was first established around the 6th century B.C. by the Nabataean Arabs, a nomadic tribe who settled in the area and laid the foundation of a commercial empire that extended into Syria. You will With the guide pass the canyon, the so called Siq, to see the most beautiful monument: the Treasury. Continue via the Street of Facades to the Royal Tombs and Pharaoh's Castle. The guide says farewell to you at the restaurant area; free time to explore Petra on your own (for instance climb the 800 stairs to the Monastery El Deir). In the afternoon, drive 2.5 hours to the bustling city of Amman, transfer to your hotel to check in and overnight.
Early morning drive for 1 hour to Allenby Bridge. We will explain to you the steps of the border procedures, which takes for about 2 hours on average. You will be met by our English speaking representative outside the Israeli terminal. Short ride to Jericho in the West Bank, believed to be the oldest continuous settlement in the world. In Biblical history it is famous for the episode, that the walls of Jericho felt down, after the Israelites under Joshua played their trumpets. By cable car you will be taken up to the Mount of Temptation, where Jesus was tempted by the devil. From the Greek Orthodox monastery there you enjoy panoramic views of the area. You see also the old Sycamore Tree, where the tax collector Zacchaeus climbed a tree to get a better look at Jesus. If time permits visit the Islamic remains of Hisham’s Palace from the 8th century. Drive 1 hour to Bethlehem, a town with a Palestinian Christian community. See the Shepherds Fields in Beit Sahour, then arrive at Manger Square and the ancient Church of the Nativity. See also part of the 700 km long Separation Wall, dividing the West Bank and Israel, used as graffiti wall, some created by the British artist Banksy. Transfer to your hotel in Bethlehem and overnight.
Start your day at the Mt. of Olives with a panorama view of the old city, divided into the Jewish, the Christian, the Armenian and the Muslim quarter. Walk down to the Garden of Gethsemane where Jesus was arrested. If the situation allows, visit to the Temple Mount, known as Haram El Sharif. You see the Al Aqsa Mosque and the Dome of the Rock, two of the most important Islamic sanctuaries (non-Muslims are not allowed to enter the buildings). From the Temple Mount Prophet Mohammad ascended to heaven. The Temple Mount is the place, where the Jewish Temples stood 2,000 years ago. The Western Wall or Wailing Wall is the last remnant and the holiest site in Judaism. You will see today how it draws Jews from all over the world to pray here. We follow the footsteps of Jesus along the stations of the Via Dolorosa, the Way of Suffering, until the Church of the Holy Sepulchre. The church marks the spot where Jesus was crucified, buried and resurrected. After an exciting tour, transfer to your hotel in Bethlehem and overnight.
This day is dedicated to the Galilee region in the north. Tour starts by visiting Nazareth, the town where Jesus spent his childhood. Visit the Church of Annunciation and the Church of St. Joseph. Then proceed to have a scenic boat ride on the Sea of Galilee. Continue to Capernaum, once a fishing village, home to the apostles James, Peter, Andrew and John. Visit the remains of the House of Peter and the 4th century synagogue. Take a short ride and you reach Tabgha, where the miracle of multiplication of loaves and fishes took place. See the Church of the Multiplication and the Church of the Primacy right on the shores of the Sea of Galilee. A short hop from Tabgha is the Mt of Beatitudes where Jesus held the Sermon of the Mount. Nowadays you find here a Franciscan Church and a tranquil garden. After your tour, transfer to your hotel in Tiberias, check in and overnight.
Check-out to proceed to the ancient port city of Akko (Acre), with its Middle Age fortress, the former capital of the Crusader kingdom is also the birthplace of the Baha’i religion. A Hospitaller Castle, Templar tunnel and the largest prison during the British Mandate can all be found here. Onto Haifa City, and up to Mt. Carmel one of the holy mountains, we can see the coastal of Haifa city all the way down to the Mediterranean. Visit Stella Maris on top and the Baha’i Gardens in the edge of the city center. On proceed to Caesarea, where we will see the ancient ruins of a Roman theater facing the Mediterranean, remains of one of Herod's palaces and many marble and granite columns. Also we visit the Hippodrome and the water aqueducts. Short visit to the Old City of Jaffa. Transfer to your hotel in Tel Aviv and overnight.
Latest check out from room is 12:00 noon. According to departure time pickup and transfer to Ben Gurion Airport, and say farewell to the Holy Land.
