This tour of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan offers an opportunity to experience in a relatively short period of time popular attractions. Travel to the Roman town of Jerash and the Greco-Roman ruins of Umm Qais. Then follow the biblical King's Way in the south and be enchanted by the breathtaking Petra, the stone marvel hidden behind rugged mountains.

Upon arrival to Queen Alia Airport our representative will meet you with a sign after you passed through the customs. 50 minutes transfer to the hotel in Amman for overnight.

Amman - Umm Qais - Jerash - Amman

Umm Qais

In the morning we drive two hours from Amman to Gadara (Umm Qais), which belonged to the famous Decapolis, a union of 10 cities, founded by Alexander the Great. Here you have an overwhelming view over the north Jordan Valley, the Golan Heights and the Sea of Galilee.

Jerash

We leave to Jerash, the best example of a Roman provincial city in the whole Middle East. Visit Oval Plaza, Roman colonnaded street, the Nymphaeum and the Temple of Artemis. Back to Amman for overnight.

Amman - Madaba - Mt Nebo - Dead Sea Beach - Petra

Madaba

After breakfast we drive to Madaba, to see the famous mosaic 6th century map of Palestine in St. George's church.

Mt Nebo

We head to Mt. Nebo, the place where Prophet Moses gazed at the promised land before he died. You visit the old monastery and overlook the Jordan Valley, Dead Sea and parts of the Holy Land.

Dead Sea

Then onto the lowest point on earth, the Dead Sea, where you have leisure time and the chance to float on water.

Petra

Today visit the red rose city Petra, the biggest attraction of Jordan. Petra was first established around the 6th century B.C. by the Nabataean Arabs, a nomadic tribe who settled in the area and founded a commercial empire. You can start the trip on horseback or by foot to the canyon, the so called Siq, and then walk with your guide to the most beautiful monument: the Treasury, to the Street of Facades, the Royal Tombs and Pharaoh's Castle. Free time to explore on your own.

In the afternoon, drive back to Amman, proceed to your hotel and overnight.

Practical Info

• Official check in time at hotels 15:00 – check out time at hotels 12:00.
• Breakfast at hotels is served in the main restaurant.
• The driver/tour guide escorts you according to the booked itinerary, he is not 24/7 at your disposal.
• You walk several km in Petra, so bear in mind good walking shoes and a backpack for beverage, camera etc.
• The spot guides in Jerash and Petra are licensed by the Ministry of Tourism in Jordan and are not part of our team.
• In case of rain the government may decide to close Petra for safety and security reasons.
• For the Dead Sea beach don’t forget swimwear, flip flops and water sandals.
• The Petra ticket includes a 700 meters horse ride from the main gate to the beginning of the Siq. The ride is not mandatory; the horse handler expects a tip of 5 JOD per horse.
• To respect the local culture please cover shoulders and knees.
• It is not permitted to bring telescopes or drones without permission to Jordan.

- Cancellations or changes need to be sent in written form. Charges are as follows:
• 25 $USD of the total price of the trip for cancellations from the date of booking until 31 days before departure.
• 25% of the total price of the trip for cancellations or changes made 30 to 08 days before departure.
• 100% of the total price of the trip for cancellations or changes made 07 to 01 days before departure or no show.
- For refunds we do not cover transaction fees charged by credit card companies and banks.
