Our representative welcomes you with a signage at Amman Airport after you exit the customs. Transfer about 50 minutes to your Amman Hotel, check in, the remainder of the day free.

Amman - Jerash - Amman City Tour - Amman

Jerash

This morning, drive about 1 hour to the well preserved ancient city of Jerash, located in the hills of Gilead. The town was one of the great Roman Decapolis cities, you enter through Hadrian’s Gate. Visit the oval Forum, Roman colonnaded street, the Nymphaeum, the Temple of Artemis and the Temple of Zeus, remains of several theatres and churches.

Amman City

Back in Amman, we discover the historical places in downtown. The Citadel hill with remains from the Roman to the early Islamic period, like the Umayyad Palace, enjoying views over hilly Amman and the Roman Theatre. We stroll via the Souq, where you get an idea of everyday life, and Jabal Amman with its distinctive early 20th century architecture. Overnight Amman hotel.

Amman - Mt Nebo - Hammamat Ma’in - Shobak Castle - Petra

Mt Nebo

After breakfast, check out, and we start traveling southwards. First stop is Mt Nebo, 800 meters about sea level with a panorama view over the Holy Land and the Jordan Valley. After 40 years of wandering, Prophet Moses gazed in here the Promised Land. You visit the remains of an early Christian church and monastery with some marvellous mosaics.

Hammamat Ma’in

Time to relax at the bath of Hammamat Ma’in, this hot freshwater mineral spring with waterfalls lies 264 metres (870 ft) below sea level in an amazing natural setting.

Proceed to Shobak castle perched on a hilltop and built by Baldwin I. of Jerusalem.

Petra Visit

Today we explore the splendid red rose city Petra, established around the 6th century BC by the Nabataean Arabs, and a major caravan centre during the Hellenistic and Roman period. With the guide pass the narrow gorge, the so called Siq, rewarded by a glimpse of the most beautiful monument, the Treasury, known also as Al Khazneh. Passing the Street of Facades you see more of the great architecture, mostly carved in the coloured sandstone, the Urn and the Silk Tomb, the Theatre and the Grand Temple. Your guides says farewell at the restaurant area, and you can spend free time to explore Petra on your own. In the evening enjoy a home-cooked dinner and the hospitality of a modern Bedouin family. Petra - Little Petra - Wadi Rum - Wadi Rum Camp

Little Petra

In the morning we drive to the bizarre landscape of Little Petra, visit Siq el-Barid, a miniature Petra with its modest gorge (Siq) that leads into an area of carved tombs and monuments.

Wadi Rum

From here travel 1.5 hours southwards to the protected area of Wadi Rum, one of the most impressing desert landscapes in the world. Here still Bedouins live in a traditional way, and by a 3 hours 4x4 Jeep tour you discover this amazing desert scenery with canyons, sand dunes, Nabatean rock inscriptions and natural rock bridges. Dinner and overnight at camp.

Wadi Rum - Dana Village - Dead Sea

Dana Village

Breakfast at camp, then drive back in the north. We reach Dana Village. Inhabited more than 400 years by Bedouins, and located in Jordan’s largest Nature Reserve, with a diverse flora and fauna, consisting of mountains and wadis. Stroll in the village and the surrounding terraced gardens and enjoy the scenic views.

Dead Sea

In the early afternoon check in at your Dead Sea. With 400 meters below sea level, the lake is the lowest point on earth, where ever since the days of Herod the Great, people have flocked to in search of its curative secrets. Dinner & overnight at hotel.

Practical Info

• Official check in time at hotels 15:00 – check out time at hotels 12:00.
• Breakfast at hotels is served in the main restaurant.
• The driver/tour guide escorts you according to the booked itinerary, he is not 24/7 at your disposal.
• You walk several km in Petra, so bear in mind good walking shoes and a backpack for beverage, camera etc.
• The spot guides in Jerash & Petra are licensed by the Ministry of Tourism in Jordan and are not part of our team.
• In case of rain the government may decide to close Petra for safety and security reasons.
• For the Dead Sea beach don’t forget swimwear, flip flops and water sandals.
• The Petra ticket includes a 700 meters horse ride from the main gate to the beginning of the Siq. The ride is not mandatory; the horse handler expects a tip of 5 JOD per horse.
• 4x4s in Wadi Rum are old vehicles without A/C and seat belt. They belong to the local Bedouin association.
• To respect the local culture please cover shoulders and knees.
• It is not permitted to bring telescopes or drones without permission to Jordan.
• For camping we recommend to bring the following: backpack, towel, flashlight, comfortable clothes and shoes, sunglasses, sunscreen, headgear / scarf as protection against sun and wind, hygiene products, toilet paper, first aid kit (for headaches, cold, etc.).
• Camping in Wadi Rum is not recommended from mid December until end of February due to the cool weather.

- After booking the tour with us online, one of our consultants will get in touch within 24 hours. You need to pay then a 25% deposit by credit card or by bank transfer. The full payment is due latest 14 days before tour start.
- Cancellations or changes need to be sent in written form. Charges are as follows:
• 25 $USD of the total price of the trip for cancellations from the date of booking until 31 days before departure.
• 25% of the total price of the trip for cancellations or changes made 30 to 08 days before departure.
• 100% of the total price of the trip for cancellations or changes made 07 to 01 days before departure or no show.
- For refunds we do not cover transaction fees charged by credit card companies and banks.
