In Arabic is one of the most popular highlights when visiting Petra. The Treasury is believed to be built as a mausoleum and a tomb during the reign of Aretas IV Philopatris.
The four tombs on the eastern cliff known for its large size and adornments. The four graves are the Palace Tomb, Corinthian Tomb, Silk Tomb and the Urn Tomb.
Passing the Temenos Gate to the Colonnaded Street, you will find the temple called Qasr Al Bint. The temple was built by Obodas III in the 1st century BC, it measures about 60m by 60m or 200 square meters, and the standing walls are approximately 23m in height.
In Arabic is the most massive monument in Petra, similar to the Treasury but less elaborated decorations. It was built by Obodas I in the 1st century B.C as a dedication and is believed to be the meeting of Obodas the god. This is one of the hikers favorite place to see while in Petra.
