Old City Jerusalem - Jerusalem

Start with a panoramic view of the old city from the Mt. Of Olives. Walk down to the Garden of Gethsemane, with its 2000 years old olive trees and the place where Jesus was captivated. Pay a visit to the Dominus Flevit Church with its beautiful window facing the old city. We enter the walled old city through one of its gates. See the Wailing Wall, the last remnants of the Temple in Jerusalem, where Jews all over the world come to pray. If open, we visit the Temple Mount with the Dome of the Rock. Through the colorful bazaars walk to the Via Dolorosa and with the 14 Stations of the Cross ending at the Church of the Holy Sepulcher. Overnight Jerusalem hotel.

Masada - Dead Sea - Ein Gedi - Jerusalem

Masada

Pick up from your hotel lobby and head for the desert fortress Masada. Learn about the heroic story of the Jewish fighters who preferred to commit suicide instead of living under Roman rule. Ascend by cable car and tour the mountain fortress built by King Herod, where the zealots of the first century made their last stand against the Romans. Visit the remains of the walls, the palace, synagogue, and water cisterns.

Dead Sea

Continue to the Dead Sea, the lowest point on earth. The water of the lake is so salty, that it allows you to float.

Jerusalem

Drive back to your hotel in Jerusalem. Short ride to the Oasis of Ein Gedi, known since the days of King David. Ein Gedi, where four springs with fresh water meet the desert sun, is a place to enjoy the rich and unique flora and fauna.

Today we hit the road to Bethlehem in the West Bank, just a 20-minute drive from Jerusalem. The major attraction is the ancient Church of the Nativity, where one can touch the very place where Jesus was born. You will also feel the presence of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict when entering the West Bank through the 700 km-long Separation Wall. Time to walk along the barrier wall and see the protest art in form of graffitis.

Fly to Eilat - Wadi Rum - Petra

In the morning transfer to Tel Aviv and fly to Eilat. Cross the Arava Border. Our representative welcomes you at the border in Jordan. Continue to drive for about 50 minutes to the protected area of Wadi Rum, one of the most impressive desert landscapes in the world. Here still Bedouins live in a traditional way, and by a 2 hours 4x4 Jeep tour, you discover canyons, sand dunes, and Nabatean rock inscriptions. (Note: Wadi Araba Crossing/South Border, located in the south, 324km away from Amman, connecting the two Red Sea resorts of Eilat and Aqaba. Operating Hours: Sunday–Thursday: 08:30hrs – 15:00hrs Friday – Saturday: Close. Must arrive at the border at least 2 hours before closing time).

Petra

After breakfast to the red rose city Petra, the biggest attraction of Jordan. Petra was first established around the 6th century B.C. by the Nabataean Arabs, a nomadic tribe who settled in the area and laid the foundation of a commercial empire that extended into Syria. With the guide pass the canyon, the so called Siq, to see the most beautiful monument: the Treasury. Continue via the Street of Facades to the Royal Tombs and Pharaoh's Castle. The guide says farewell to you at the restaurant area; free time to explore Petra on your own (for instance climb the 800 stairs to the Monastery El Deir). Overnight Petra.

Cairo is a fascinating city and home to the mighty Nile, the longest and the most vital river in the world. Pyramids of Giza & Sphinx

You will be picked up by our representative at your hotel and transferred to enjoy a tour of the Giza Pyramids. Khufu's pyramid is the northernmost and largest of the three. In classical antiquity, it was considered one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World and is the only one to have survived. Khephren's monument can be easily identified by the casing stones that still cling to its pointed top. The much smaller pyramid of Mycerinus had not been completed by the time of the king's death. The Great Sphinx is part of the funerary complex of Khephren.

Visit the Solar Boat Museum located south of the Great Pyramid. It was built to contain the Solar Boat of the great king Cheops which was discovered by Kamal El Mallakh in 1954.

Meet in your hotel early in the morning, our representative will pick you up and transfer you to Cairo airport. Luxor is located in Upper Egypt, about 650km south of Cairo, flight from Cairo to Luxor lasts for about 1-hour.

Luxor East Bank

Our representative will meet you and then have a short drive to the East Bank of Luxor. Proceed to the most important and most sacred of the sites, the Temple of Luxor. It was built by one of the kings of the 12th dynasty and completed by the well-known king Ramses II. The temple was conceived as a remote southern annex to the temple of Karnak, at a distance of about 3 km from it. Hence, it faces the Karnak Temple and was connected to it by a long processional avenue, flanked by rows of sphinxes on either side. Have a wonderful tour of Karnak Temples, which are the largest structures ever built in the history of mankind. The principal building is that of the god Amun Ra, which is the melting pot of religion and politics.

Breakfast on board. Our representative will meet you and the tour starts by crossing the River Nile to Luxor West Bank. Come and see the magnificent Valley of the King. The most concentration of royal tombs in Ancient Egypt. It is where cut in rocks tombs for 62 famous kings of the New Kingdom, all are highly decorated and filled with priceless artwork. Continue to visit the Hatshepsut temple built and named after the powerful Queen Hatshepsut the only woman who ascended the throne of Egypt in ancient times. This temple is located at Deir el-Bahari, a steep cliff in the shape of a horseshoe forms a natural background to two monumental buildings standing side by side, each belonging to a different period. The last stop is to pay a visit at Colossi of Memnon. The first monument one encounters on a visit to the west bank of Luxor is the site of the funerary temple of Amenhotep III. The temple itself has all but completely disappeared, but the colossal twin statues of the king, which once stood proudly in front of the entrance to the temple, are still there to greet the visitor.

Breakfast on board. The tour begins by visiting the Temple of Horus in Edfu, which is considered to be one of the most well-preserved temples in Egypt. It is also the repository of the most detailed legacy on matters of cult and temple function.

You’ll have your lunch back on board the ship and sail on to Kom Ombo. In the afternoon you will have time to explore the Temple of Kom Ombo, where you’ll learn about the crocodile god Sobek and the falcon god Horus, whose monuments decorate each half of the temple.

Aswan - Nile Cruise

Breakfast on board. You will explore the city of Aswan including the High Dam, Egypt's modern example of construction on a monumental scale. The controversial Aswan High Dam contains 18 times the amount of material used in the Great Pyramid of Khufu and created Lake Nasser, the world's largest artificial lake. Continue to visit the Unfinished Obelisk which was made out of red granite and was dedicated to the god Amun Ra. Then proceed to a motorboat to reach Agilkia Island, where you will visit the Temple of Philae that was erected during the Greco-Roman period and was dedicated to the goddess Isis. On the walls of the temple of Philae were inscribed the latest hieroglyphic and demotic inscriptions.

Breakfast on board the cruise before disembarkation. Fly from Aswan to Abu Simbel to enjoy an amazing tour at Abu Simbel Temples. The two rock temples of Abu Simbel, mighty monuments of the "Builder Pharaoh" Ramesses II, are very amazing by virtue of their imposing size and the uniqueness of its design.
