Tour Description

The tour starts in the morning with the pick up from Araba Border, the southern crossing connecting Israel and Jordan. We drive 1.5 hours to Petra. Enter the ancient city with your guide via a narrow gorge, and enjoy the impressing monuments like the Treasury, Street of Facades and the Royal Tombs which had been carved more than 2000 years ago in the red sandstone.

Day 1
Petra Day Tour from Araba Border

Morning time our representative welcomes you with a sign inside the Jordan terminal of the Araba Border. Passing by Wadi Rum desert and the Sharah, drive directly about 2 hours to the breathtaking rock city Petra, the impressing capital of the Nabatean Arabs. Due to its fantastic architecture and sophisticated water supply system the archaeological park is listed as UNESCO World Heritage Site. From the Visitor's Centre start with your guide on horseback or on foot to the Siq, a narrow gorge, and continue to the beautiful Treasury, also called Al Khazneh. Walk along the Street of Facades to the Royal Tombs, the Theatre and Qasr Al Bint. Free time on your own and return the same way to the entrance gate. In the afternoon meet your driver at the Visitor Centre and return to Araba Border to enter Israel again.

- After booking online, please send to email ( info@petranightstours.com ) the Complete Passport Name of all guests including: Nationality, Passport Number, Passport Expiry & Date of Birth not less than 72 hours prior arrival.
- The Araba Border is open 08:30 -15: 00 (Sun-Thu), close from Fri-Sat and closed on Yom Kippur and Muslim New Year.
- Wear comfortable walking shoes and depending on season pack sun protection.
- To respect the local culture please cover shoulders and knees.
- Tour guides in Petra are licensed by Ministry of Tourism and are not part of our team.
- A 700 meters horse ride from the main gate to the beginning of the Siq is included in the admission fee Petra. Horse handler expects a tip of 5 JD per horse. Horse drawn carriage, camel or donkey ride can be booked for certain distances and paid on spot.
- Clients with Jordan Pass receive the refund on spot for entrance fees covered with the pass.
- Our staff is trained to follow hygiene and safety protocols.

- After booking the tour with us online, one of our consultants will get in touch within 24 hours. You need to pay then a 25% deposit by credit card or by bank transfer. The full payment is due latest 07 days before tour start.
- Cancellations or changes need to be sent in written form. Charges are as follows:
• 100% of the total price of the trip for cancellations or changes made 07 to 01 days before departure or no show.
- For refunds we do not cover transaction fees charged by credit card companies and banks.
