Welcome to Istanbul! Upon arrival at the airport our local representative will welcome you. After the visa formalities and claiming your baggage, transfer to your hotel in Istanbul, check in and overnight. If arrived early, remaining time of the day is free on your own.
In the morning our local representative will meet you at the hotel lobby. We first visit the Hagia Sophia built as a church by Emperor Justinian in the sixth century, then became a mosque during the Ottoman period and now a museum. Adjacent to it, we visit the Sultan Ahmed Mosque known as the Blue Mosque due to the blue tiles adorning the walls of its interior. Enjoy a traditional lunch in a local restaurant. Then continue to Topkapi Palace, an enormous palace museum opened in 1924 known for its architecture, collections, history and culture of the Ottoman Empire. Wrap up your tour by visiting the Grand Bazaar, one of the oldest and largest shopping destination in Istanbul where they offer the best Turkish handcrafted products, silk scarves, jewelries, leather goods, rugs, carpets and, etc. Return to your hotel in Istanbul and overnight.
Transfer to Istanbul airport to catch a flight going to Cappadocia. Upon arrival in Cappadocia start the tour and see the fairy chimneys, the incredible rock formations that can be seen in most parts of the region. Take a short drive to Avanos, a small town famous for its dedication and mastery of pottery. The red clay they use came from the Kizilirmak River and the white clay from the high hills in the area the pots and ceramics made are exported in the whole of Turkey. Afterward, proceed to Goreme Open Air Museum, Cappadocia’s most famous tourist attraction that consists of a valley of volcanic tuff that formed into cave churches, and monasteries. Afterward continue to Uchisar Castle, named after the town where it is located, is the highest point in Cappadocia and has a stunning viewpoint of the world. Tour end with a visit to the Pigeon Valley, where you can have a breath-taking panoramic view of Cappadocia. Return to your hotel in Cappadocia and overnight.
Start the day with a visit to Ortahisar Castle a former fortress during the Byzantine times, it was built for both settlement and defense system. Next, to Cayusin Valley where you can see the troglodyte dwellings where people lived until the mid-20th century. In the afternoon, enjoy a tour to Red Valley where the red-rose color of the rocks is stretched through the valley. Have a traditional lunch in a local restaurant. This is one of the best spots for sunset viewing in Cappadocia. Transfer back to your hotel in Cappadocia and overnight.
Transfer to Cappadocia airport to catch a flight going to Izmir. Upon arrival in Izmir our representative will meet you and start the journey to Agora. Explore the Old Smyrna, which was built during the period of Alexander the Great. Agora was excavated in 1941 by the Turkish & German archaeologists. Next proceed to The Elevator building also known as the Tahiri Asansör, built by Nesim Levi, a Jewish businessman. At the top of the building you get an astonishing view of the Gulf of Izmir. Tour ends with a visit in Kizlaragasi Hani, a historical bazaar in Izmir where you can buy Turkish goods and product. Transfer to your hotel in Izmir and overnight.
Within an hour reach Ephesus, the most important Greek city in Ionian Asia Minor. Around 3,000 years ago up to 200,000 people lived here. Visit the Library of Celsus housing once 12,000 scrolls, the Temple of Hadrian, the Odeon, the Baths of Scholastica and Theatre offering space for 25,000 visitors. See the few remains of the Temple of Artemis, one of the Seven Ancient Wonders. Ephesus was an important place for early Christians. Have a look at the Basilica of St. John who wrote his Gospel here and the decent House of the Virgin Mary. Return to your hotel in Izmir and overnight.
After breakfast at the hotel, latest check out 12:00 noon, then according to flight departure time transfer to Izmir Airport to catch your departure flight back home. End of service.
